Dr. Bill Harrison, internationally known for his pioneering work in Sports Science, was educated at the University of California at Berkeley, receiving a Doctorate in Optometry from the U.C. School of Optometry. His prolific and successful work with amateur and prominent professional athletes throughout the world has placed him in the forefront of his profession.

Dr. Harrison has spent the last 25 years studying, analyzing and refining the basic qualities that create Gold Medal Winners, P.G.A. and L.P.G.A. Champions, World Series and Super Bowl Winners. His clients include many famous and everyday names in the sports pages including: Jim Colbert, Billy Casper, Greg Maddux, Barry Bonds, George Brett, Brady Anderson and many more.

 
After receiving his doctorate in optometry, Dr. Harrison did pioneering research in contact lenses as a Captain in the U.S. Army. He continued his research as a partner with internationally famous ophthalmologist Albert Sarraill, M.D. of San Francisco.

As a Sports Performance Specialist since 1972, Dr. Harrison was involved in the "behind the scenes" changes and performance development of several organizations including championship years with the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Royals in the 1970's, the U.S. Hockey Team in 1979-80, the Los Angeles Rams in 1980, the San Diego Padres in 1984, the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1989 and the Atlanta Braves in the 1990's.

In 1977, he developed the protocol of vision testing and enhancement training programs for all U. S. National Teams under the auspices of the U.S. Olympic Sports Medicine Committee.


Currently, Dr. Harrison is a consultant with Callaway Golf, Inc., Timecards, Inc., MLB Scout, Inc, Scripps Clinic Shiley Sports and Health Center, All American Optometry, the Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves and the Kansas City Royals.

Dr. Harrison has frequently appeared nationally in major magazines, newspapers and on major radio and television networks.
